Helipro was founded in 1993 as a flight school by Peter Stahli. Shortly thereafter, we could see that there was a further demand for helicopter operations on the central coast of California. We decided to establish a high quality helicopter flight school. It is our aim to train excellent helicopter pilots and give them excellent helicopter instruction to enhance their flight knowledge and helicopter flying abilities in order to enter the helicopter job market. Our pilots are able to receive their first flight experience as flight instructors. The best ones are even able to receive a limited job experience in one of our other helicopter operations. Throughout the history of our program, we have trained about 600 Pilots, from PPL, CPL, CFI, CFII, IFR or ATPL. We will assist you in every possible way to finally find job placement in the USA, Europe or any other country throughout the world. At the moment, we are also developing program on other operations. If you are interested and would like to know more about it, just click in the menue on “Operations”. You have futher questions or you need an offer? A few words about the founder of Helipro “Peter Stahli”:

Peter is 53 years old and started in aviation about 25 years ago. Throughout his career, he has logged about 6200 hours on helicopters and 7500 hours on fixed wing. First he started to fly helicopter in Australia and that is where he got his first license issued. He chased cattle on a Robinson R 22 and flew so his first 1000 hours in this job. After this he worked for Hevi-Lift in Papua New Guinea on Bell Jet Ranger und Hughes 500. Back in Switzerland he was flying Bell 205 and a Aerospatiale-Lama for the company Heliswiss in Belp. In summer 1991 he found a job with Heli-Linth in Mollis. With an Ecureuil, Peter flew different operations and with REGA-(Swiss Airambulance) various Search and Rescue operations in the Swiss alps. In the year 1991/92 Peter finally found some time to receive his instrument rating on fixed wing in the USA. With this rating he was able to receive the ATPL (Airline transport pilot lisence) for fixed wing and helicopter. He also received is Flight instructor lisence, which gave him the possibility to train pilots up to the ATPL License. He is also qualified to train for the instrument rating and for flight instructor. Then, Peter started to work for a flight school in the USA, but after a while he decided to start his own business and opened his flight school “Helipro”. With his small flight school he was able to provide a private training atmosphere with a good overview of his students. So far all his students passed the exams with the mark “very good”. Peter is now working again in Switzerland and therefore he is able to help you with the conversion of your US licence to a European licence. Together with his good contacts in the helicopter industry all over the world, he will also be able to support you getting the important first job as a helicopter pilot.
