Helicopter travel? You might wonder what we mean with this.

We thought that some of our students might be interested to do some of their training in combination with
a helicopter travel within California.
This means, that we go on a trip with you to favourite spots, towns and landscapes. We will fly to these
locations with a helicopter and train different maneuvers and emergency situations. Very positive with this
type of training is, that you will fly into different airspaces and will see different approach procedures as
well as different controllers.
This way you will escape flying always the same traffic pattern and always having the same controller
on the radio.

This will definitely become your ultimate experience and you will see some of the most beautiful
landscapes in California.
Night flights over San Francisco with the world famous Golden Gate Bridge will stay in your mind as much
as flights along the Highway 1 or at the edge of the national parks.
Of course our travel plan will be adopted to your personal skill at that time.

To be able to go on a helicopter travel we will need a minimum of 3 students. There will always be one
helicopter with a student and a flight instructor and 2 further students will follow by car. On specific points
we will change the students every one to two hours of flight time. The reason for this is, that most students
are only able to fly 1 or 2 hours effectively.

Meeting point and landing areas will be discussed in advance and also programmed in our GPS system.

The fix costs for the helicopter travel will be a bit higher than the training only in San Luis Obispo. Therefore we will have to charge $70 per day per person, covering fuel costs and accomodation.
