For a Commercial Pilot Licence you have to be 18 years old and for a Private Pilots Licence 17 years old. You also have to complete a medical examination by a designated medical practitioner in the United States. You must be able to speak and read English. A good knowledge of the English language will reduce your training times and costs.
For solo flights with passengers you will need to meet the following requirements:
- 100 hours total time in helicopters
- 20 hours Pilot-In-Command (PIC) after checkride and receiving Private Pilot License Helicopter (PPL-H)
- Successful completion of Robinson Helicopter Company (RHC) Safety Course (FSC)
