For the ground training and preparation for the written test I recommend you study as much as you can before you get to America. You then have more time to concentrate on the flying and preparation of the oral examination. In most cases the student will make fast progress on the practical side and is slower on the theory. As a result it will take much longer to finish and ultimately increase the cost. I recommend strongly to obtain the books at home and study them.
